Carl Kies

Masters degree in Electrical Engineering (Stellenbosch); Executive MBA (UCT)

Carl Kies has been working as an engineer, IT consultant and project manager since 1988. In 2002 he founded a software engineering company and has been involved in consulting, business development and management since then.

His main interest is around sustainable and renewable energy. This includes activities around the disciplines of systems engineering, systems thinking, organisational development and the facilitation of collective knowledge articulation. His Masters dissertation was on the development of a systemic brand management model for an organisation, with emphasis on strategic and normative management functions.

Carl is a member of the Association for the Study of Peak Oil (ASPO) South Africa and the Western Cape committee of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE).
