Michaela Thoma


Degree in Sociology and Technology Studies (Dipl.-Soz. tech.)
Michaela Thoma began her career with scientific research of organisational transformation processes and project management. With a special focus on manufacturing and IT, she has gained experience with organizations ranging from small start-ups to multinational enterprises.
Joining the Systemic Excellence Group as Managing Assistant of the CEO in 2010, she became a Consortional Partner in 2011. Currently she is coordinator of the PhD programme “Cross-Cultural Complex Project Management”.

Her consulting approach focuses on sense-making processes and daily practices in organisations, exploring the conditions for effectively dealing with cultural and political complexity as factors that enable viable change.

Michaela Thoma studied Sociology, Information and Communication Technologies and Media Consulting at the Technische Universität Berlin, Germany.
